We are now looking for a Strategic Buyer to join our team within Systems and Energetic Materials, a broad and exciting procurement area. The role is based at Saab Dynamics in Karlskoga or Solna, where you will become part of a competent and engaged procurement team.

Your Role

As a Strategic Buyer, you will have a central role where you build and develop a broad network, both internally within Saab and externally with our suppliers. You will be a key part of ensuring competitiveness, sustainability, and cost-efficiency in our supplier base.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Be responsible for your own supplier base and continuously develop it.
• Develop and implement supplier strategies.
• Negotiate, manage, and further develop supplier agreements.
• Support business units' projects and programs with commercial expertise.
• Lead cross-functional teams with a focus on efficiency and cost savings.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and negotiate prices and terms.
• Ensure that Saab's procurement strategy, policies, and procedures are followed.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we believe you are a business-driven person who thrives on building relationships and creating collaborations, both within the organization and with external partners. You are communicative and confident in driving dialogues, while also having an analytical and structured side that helps you see the big picture and make well-founded decisions.

You have extensive experience in strategic procurement or related areas. Relevant post-secondary education in fields such as engineering or economics is meritorious, but we also welcome other backgrounds with the right competencies.

Since the role involves many contacts both nationally and internationally, it is important that you master Swedish and English very well in both speech and writing. You are very familiar with working in MS Office and have experience using business systems. It is also meritorious if you have experience with contract negotiations and Energetic Materials.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
